weekend w00t

I was given the opportunity to buy Rugby World Cup tickets for 2007 on Friday. I signed up for updates as a patron of a Rhone rugby club a few months ago. I didn't think anything of it at the time, however since the RWC is being held in France they are giving clubs and patrons first pick. Anyways, they sent me an email to login and buy packages pre-sale style. General public sales start in April 2006. I logged in Saturday and bought a 3 game package for CHEAP (160E). I bought seats on the first tier (primo). The matches consist of NZ, AUS, and USA. In addition the matches are spaced out 5 days apart. Therefore, we can travel the countryside tasting wine between matches. The packages and tickets could not have worked out better. Also, since I am going to Italy for xmas, I have enough frequent flier miles to pay for the ticket to France.

I FINALLY picked up my Apple Mini this weekend. I had to pester those bastards at the Apple store to get it back. It seems they had to order an optical dive (wtf?). Anyways, I would rate Apple's service par to sub-par overall. I assume I would get about the same service with Dell etc... Apple could have diffused the situation by just restoring my data on to another Mini the same day. However, they chose to be assheads. Anyways, I finally have a home computer again that works.
