It has been four weeks since we lost Rascal and I'm still so freakin' sad and missing him.  It's getting better with time but the heaviness in my heart at the moment almost feels overwelming.

dragonflyboy  has made his own version of a cooling fan using ice, copper piping, fountain pump, cooler, and of course, a fan.  It's not too bad, definite coolness coming from it which is hopefully going to help the heat situation.  I've already had to clean up cat barf after Rascal was panting in the heat.  Lovely.

Today was yet another slow moving Saturday but that's okay, it was needed. We didn't get out of the house until after 3pm but that's usual for us on the weekends. Rascal and Siren went to the vet today for their annual check up, seniors blood screening, etc. They're both doing well and they've both gained weight which is a good sign in cats that are 11 and 12 years old. The vet gave us some ideas for Siren's "explosive" behaviour when we travel with her which will hopefully help ( Read more... )

So Siren's tumor has disappeared which is wonderful news but she is back on Elival to stop her avoidance of the litterbox. We'll find out whether or not we're going to be upping his insulin possibly on Saturday.

My arm is sore, don't want to be on the computer anymore.

We made it home yesterday evening safe and sound. It was a very VERY long traveling day from the time we had to get up at the airport hotel to the time I finally went to bed was 17 hours, most of them either on the plane or in the car.
