Brazilla is getting on my nerves again.
Here, Scotty, fix this, change this, you're doing this wrong, "friendly reminder friendly reminder friendly reminder that can't possibly be a 'reminder' since its the first damn time I'm being instructed about it, or told that what I've previously been instructed on has changed. XP
Most recent example of this crazy making;
I write up a report for a guy that looks like he's doing something weird with a lot of cash deposits. He says its gambling winnings. Suuuuuuuuuuure. And you've also got some real-estate in the everglades to sell us, too, don'cha?
I finish this report 20 days ago, and turn it in to Brazilla, since its her job as our supervisor to double check out work before its finalized. She hands it back to me about a week later, and asks me to do more research on someone that the guy is writing checks to.
My thought: "How will this effect what we're going to report in regards to THE CASH? Since you know, this person that's receiving the checks isn't CASHING them out, she's just depositing them elsewhere, at her own bank, right? Right."
Now I do have to give her some credit, she did help me out with some editing suggestions, since I basically said one thing, in three different ways. She suggested I concise the three statements into one. Easy enough, and actually helpful.
Takes me about a week to get back to it, since I've got other things on my plate with deadlines closer than this particular report I'm talking about.
So I do the additional research (takes a couple extra days, and results in "no conclusive information uncovered at this time") and hand it back in.
She looks it over, and hands it back to me a couple days later to finalize.
End result, the extra research didn't do jack-squat, and only served to delay the report being finalized by 13 days.
This is the 3rd time she's done something like this to me.
I'm wondering if the next time she asks me to do it, maybe I can refuse on the grounds of it being an "unreasonable request," since it keeps being a big waste of time, and doesn't change the end result.
Their argument would be, of course, you gotta do it, because it just MIGHT change the end result.
And no, I still can't leave this job. Nothing else that I have the experience and skillset to do pays $16.16 an hour (+ benefits and the occasional bonus), or requires me to put up with the bullshit of many people, instead of just the bullshit of the two people above me in the department.
In spite of my gripes, the pay is worth putting up with the stupid shit.
But, if they fire me, I can just collect unemployment while I look for something else.
Also got a new apartment that costs slightly less per month on the rent, so hopefully that'll help some in any event.
