Not quite as pissed about it as I was the first time it happened, but still not happy.
Sonnuvabitch even had the gall to state he wasn't playing favorites. Lying, passive-aggressive, asshole.
How is, I'm going to pick him, train him, invent a position AGAIN without interviewing anyone else for the position and hand it to the guy on a silver platter, in spite of having people with seniority an experience NOT FAVORITISM!?
At least the guy that got promoted above me is a decent human being, does an incredibly good job. But the main difference between him and me, and the part that pisses me off the most about the situation?
I've been there 4 1/2 years longer, and they've never given me an opportunity to learn the back office portion of the fucking program we use to do our job with. I do everything else he does, and some of it better, and admittedly, some of it not quite as well. I'm dyslexic, and suffer from a creative mind-set, in a heavily analytical-mind-set work environment. I'm working with nothing but spades of my weakest points here, and my creative side gets snuffed out by those above me before I have a chance to shine with it.
"That's a bad idea."
"I don't see the benefit in doing that."
"You're wasting your time with that, Scott."
How about letting me do something, let me grow, let me shine, instead of shafting me with all the bullshit.
Just feeling very frustrated and very defeated.
