I came in to work to discover four and a half circulars because whatever carriers assigned to my route just couldn't make sense of the new route order. Which consists of taking a chunk from the end and sticking it about thirty boxes in at the beginning. I can see how that's way too complex to figure out if you're weaseling out of work.
Puddin' tried to make up for it by assigning me casing assistance and allowing us to put up two and a half circulars, but even so, I had to cut four feet of mail and leave an hour late.
Today's douchebag exhibit:
I'm in a court, traveling between boxes when a car swings past my truck, cutting me off and t-boning the next box. The woman driving and teenage girl in the passenger seat are both looking at my truck, so they're not oblivious. Forced to back up and swing out close to her car, I notice the woman hesitate as if she's about to come toward my truck or send the girl to fetch the mail, but nope. She was just concerned I was going to hit her car. Satisfied that I wasn't, both she and the girl turned their backs on me and proceeded to the house.
I'll bet people like that always wonder why everyone's always so mean.
I still have the lingering sinus infection, and I'd gotten off work after 6pm which meant little chance of parking in downtown Baltimore, so I went home. I kept on resting by watching Despicable Me (cute but unimpressive) while eating strawberries and cream.
