Today's farmshare (from Farmer Dave) contained a ginormous eggplant, so I cut it into thirds-ish and roasted it, then turned the innards into baba ghanoush. The roasting took the longest at 40 minutes (probably 30 would've done it), with peeling a distant second while throwing all the ingredients into the food processor was the fastest bit. The only downside of this weekend is that I ended up with a big blister on my lip Sunday night. Ouch! I don't know if it was too much arginine or the physical stress of mild windburn and lots of different foods or what. I made Antipasto Sandwiches With Goat Cheese for dinner tonight and it was OK. Suggestions for improvements?

I substituted a 7.5 oz jar of sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil for the 12 oz jar of roasted peppers in the recipe ('cos I don't like peppers), which may have made for too much oil.

I don't much like yellow peaches. I do like white peaches, but they're harder to find.
