A bit of an update, and goals.

I've had so much fun on my break from school! Although I'll admit that I have been a bit jealous of these people who work and make money. It only took me 3-ish months to realize and admit that. I did well last semester, which is awesome, and I'm really looking forward to what I'll learn this next semester! I know I'll be challenged and grow, which is exciting and maybe just a wee bit scary. The thing is, I know all this growth and insight will help me to be a better person, and more ready to help others, which always equals exciting!

So my goals for this year are probably pretty similar to last year, but I haven't looked back to see if I wrote about them, so here they are for 2011:

1) Back on track

2) Balance

I want to get back on track in terms of exercise and eating healthfully. I kind of let things go at the end of 2010. Besides, who can resist fried cheese? It's fried cheese for goodness sake! And the Tuesday night pool boys are always wont to order it, and then last week wondered why I wasn't partaking. Doesn't mean I won't have it now and again, but not every week, friends. OH! Side note. I won my match last week, which is a great way to start the new season! And as for healthy eating, it may be hard because there are tons of holiday treats left over in the cupboard, and they sometimes call to me. However, I'm going to try to get more fresh fruits and veggies, instead of just reaching for the complex carbs.

As for exercising, I spent last week trying to get into a routine again of gym one day, workout at home DVD in between, and a rest day. I made it to the gym 2 days, I did the workout DVD 3 days (including yesterday, Sunday), and I did yard and house work 1 day. This week I want to get to the gym at least 3 days. Last January I went a little wild and was going to the gym pretty much every day, but my situation this year makes it a bit less feasible.

Balance basically is what it sounds like- there are many wonderful people in my life, and I want to strike a healthy balance on spending time and energy with/on folks. So far, in the last week, I think I'm doing better! Let's see how it's going in April- hehe.
