another rainy day
the past six days have been strange - the rain arrived nearly simultaneously with my cold, so between the gray skies and puddles outside and the fog inside my brain, it's all been a bit surreal. however, this afternoon, the rain stopped and i spied a patch of blue sky amidst all the gray clouds, so maybe tomorrow the rain will be gone and so will this stupid cold. *crosses fingers*
today, i wrote a lot, trying to finish the story i promised to have by new year's. i wrote about 2600 words on it. then i wrote another 599 on my sshg wip because it's been calling to me every night when i lie down to go to sleep. i wrote like a maniac all day, thinking as soon as i finished the one, i could resume work on the sshg. then i remembered - nope. i signed up for ptterpr0nprmpts with clairvoyant12 . so as soon as i finish this one, we have to get that thing written and whipped into shape. then after that, i get to go back to the sshg. if anyone out there sees me signing up for anything else, or thinking about signing up for anything else, please do me a favor and knock some sense into me.
at least i figured out what i need to do to make the story with the new year's deadline more how i want it to be. that'll have to happen in the rewrite, once i actually get the first draft done. *looks nervously at calendar* meanwhile, the sshg continues to cry out to be written. i'm starting to see how the resolution will fall into place, which is thrilling because i've wondered about it for the past 54,000+ words.
also, if you are in the mood for a little snape/lupin/charlie weasley, starstruck86 wrote me this naughty little christmas prezzie. to be fair, the naughtiness was inspired by my request - one of the boys gifting the other one a weasley. if that sounds as yummy to you as it does to me, go check it out. i promise you won't be disappointed.
