*Nods* Coming back from an exile, self-imposed or otherwise, can be scary. One feels that one may have misplaced or even lost one's ability somewhere. (Did I accidentally send it off in that bag to Goodwill?) Paul is going through that right now, too. His piano lessons were on hiatus for a month, and his piano teacher instructed him to step away from the piano for at least two weeks, but four would be better. He compromised with three. But he is now facing the "terror of the blank page" metaphorically. And I, too, have other projects that will keep me from drawing for a while: printing up the tarot cards, then probably printing up next year's calendars. Funny how so many of us are on a hiatus at around the same time.

about many being on hiatus at the same time - it does seem sometimes like there is some huge cycle going on that affects a bunch of us at a time. good luck to paul with the piano. i guess all we can do is muddle through until the panic abates - at least, that's what i do. and now i'm thinking fondly of getting to see the fruits of all your projects. oh, my calendar is still on august - but i forgot to turn the page for like a week, so i'm not through staring at that one yet, lol. :D

Yay, you're back in the saddle, so to speak. :D

It's very difficult to resume writing after a long hiatus, no matter how much you want to. Sometimes there's no inspiration, sometimes you forget what you were trying to say (i'm in that boat now, so i'm ignoring the writing). I'm just glad you started again, and the revision is a great place to begin.

Go, kitty, go! *\o/*

i started with the shorter, more important story. the idea of trying to read the ss/hg and figure out where i was at in it is beyond daunting, so it will have to wait a little bit.

and i don't blame you for ignoring the writing atm. there is a time and season for everything, and you will get back to it when it's time.

thanks for the encouragement! :D

I'm glad you found your way back into writing. It can be hard to find the motivation and confidence after a hiatus.
~cheers you on~
