"You gotta keep it separated."

First of all, I’d like to wish stormy_sue a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :D I miss you lots and I hope you see this message of good wishes on your birthday! :* :*

And now,

In the interest of keeping my journal... well, interesting, red_bansidhe and I have a knitting blog together: stitch_sisters. I thought it was a great idea since it would be nice to have a blog dedicated to all the fibre arts/crafts that the both of us partake in and, I know that some of you aren’t really interested in seeing all of the knitting speak here in my journal. However, if you ARE interested, I’ve put a link to the knitting blog in my journal (the toolbar above if you’re actually looking at my journal page right now).

There will be plenty of knitting/spinning/fibre arts/crafts in there, stories, projects, finished items (FO), works in progress (WIP) and other crafty things.

I’ve also put a link to my etsy store VanKat Beadwork on the toolbar of my journal for easy access to see the jewellery that I have made and is still for sale. I will soon have knitting related items on there such as stitch markers sometime soon. And, if you want to purchase anything from there, just mention that you saw this entry in my journal and I’ll waive the shipping.

I think this knitting blog will be a great thing as I have been rambling on about it in my personal LJ - still, LJ is for writing about things going on in your life, and knitting/fibre arts has become a big part of my life lately, jeez, I’ve even started spinning my own yarn on a drop spindle and I’ve started to crave a spinning wheel for crying outside! But really, it does make sense to keep things a little separated, makes things less confusing for everyone, including myself. I’m sure there’ll be some things peppered in this LJ, but I’ll try to keep it to a minimum and if there’s something really awesome I want to draw your attention to, I’ll just link it.

Anyway, have to put up a bio in the said knitting blog and I’m sure there’ll be some news in there after knit night on Thursday. Hope everyone has a good week and if you are interested in the knit blog, be sure to friend it :)
