I... had a great weekend! Despite still being sick and feeling very chest congesty and despite Lisa having to cancel out cause she wasn't feeling well either. We fixed that, she's coming over on Wednesday night and I've got a doc's appointment tomorrow - hopefully he'll up the ante on the drug front so I can kick this thing in the ass.

Friday night was good, very relaxy and we had coupons for Harveys so I had me a bacon cheeseburger.... so good and then we went back to the house and watched a great BBC Series called "Black Books" starring Dylan Moran (Davs from 'Shaun of the Dead' and Gordon from 'Run, Fatboy, Run'). So, so, so funny, so funny it hurt and I had tears running down my face and I thought I may have actually coughed up a lung. Not the best of choices when one does have a cough, but still - he plays a drunken, chain smoking, procrastinating wierd crank who just happens to run a bookshop. I love it and I can't wait to rent Season 2!! You can watch the eps on Youtube though and I highly recommend it if you need a laugh!

Saturday we slept in and then went out with Ray's Dad to see 'Gran Torino' - Holy Crap! Was it ever good! I wasn't really expecting a whole lot but we went to see it cause Ray's Dad really wanted to. Lots of old guys in the theatre, I guess it was to be expected. Still, there was a lot of language and racial slurs (which shocked you at first until you got to know Clint Eastwood's character), some violence but in all, there was a lot of suspense - the kind where you're wondering what Clint's character is going to do (or say) next, and so much heart it made me cry at the end. Part of it was the song and I've had a line from it stuck in my head ever since - 'heart locked in a Gran Torino'... so good. Very good and I'm so glad I went to see it. Afterward, we went to the Chinese buffet, stuffed ourselves, and then went back to the house to watch the hockey game while it snowed buckets outside.

Sunday was pretty good as well - we did nothing. Well, if you count knitting and playing videogames and signing up for Xbox Live nothing. Though I did manage to cook a nice pasta dish - penne with alfredo sauce and sauteed veggies :D It was pretty durn good if I do say so myself. AND at 2am, I finished an awesome hat!! Le Slouch ... and it's so cute, I'm so glad I made it! It's got sparkles in it and it's a dark maroon colour made from a discontinued yarn - Classic Elite City Lights! Mom made one too out of the same yarn cause I bought a bunch of it! It knit up really easily and really nice... I just have to wash it cause there's lumpy bits where I decreased for the crown. I'll have piccies soon!

Also, got red_bansidhe totally hooked on Battlestar Galactica.... mwahahahaha, I'm such a horrible enabler - though I haven't watched Season 3 over again yet and Season 4 I haven't seen at all - I'd better get cracking!!

I bid you all toodles!
