My due date community makes me feel guilty. I'd love to share how wonderful everything is and how happy and content I am, but it seems like it would be ill-received, especially with everyone complaining about how much pain they're in and how they're just counting down the days until it's all over ( Read more... ) -

...and then it's all worth it, every ache and pain, seeing the small collection of belongings that will soon be my son's. Little socks and onesie and monkey remind me that this state of being [temporary, fleeting] is all so that another person can come into being. Sometimes I forget that there is an After, and it's coming sooner than we know. -

ultrasound pictures!
I spoke with the specialist today. She said that with the adjusted fetal age measurements, the maternal serum screening test comes back NEGATIVE. Whee! She gave me June 14th for the tenative date, with the reassurance that we will have a more solid EDD come the next ultrasound on February 13th ( Read more... )
