Yeah, okay, Sleater Kinney broke up (going on an indefinite hiatus, according to Reuters). Actually, I'm surprised it didn't happen years ago. 11 years(?) is a pretty long relationship for a bunch of musicians, unless you're the undead, like Mick Jagger and pals.
But....in other music news...Axl bit a security guard on the leg while on tour in Sweden yesterday! Exciting, eh? I highly recommend seeing his band (you may have heard of them...uh, Guns N' Roses, remember?) if the Swedes let him out of jail in time for Xmas (and if they tour). I was lucky to see them live at one of their 4 Hammerstein shows in NYC in April and honestly, it was the best show I've seen the entire time I've been in this horrid city. They even rocked a tiny bit more than Melt Banana did (which is hard to beat).
Portland related because I'm coming back to Portland in a couple weeks. Anyone need me to bring them something from Chinatown? Hehe.
