Though I feel incredibly lazy right now, I also feel buoyed by a sense of ever growing optimism. I won pretty big on a scratcher last night and consequently treated my friends to some beers and myself to food, food I shared with said friends.
Last night's playlist:
We Built This City, Starship
Like a Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan
The Final Countdown, Europe
Go Your Own Way, Fleetwood Mac
Touch of Grey, The Grateful Dead
Alejandro, Lady Gaga
Oh, Pretty Woman, Roy Orbison
The astute reader (and myself) will note that all these songs (or if not the song, the artist) has appeared on a trio cd in the past. There is one exception: there is no (to my knowledge) Lady Gaga on any cd that is certifiably trio. True, there is Bad Romance on a cd that Beeg made, but does that cd count as a Beeg solo effort or a trio effort? Who knows.
Unfortunately, despite this optimism coarsing through my veins, I also feel a rather wicked sense of laziness and spiritual malaise.
I've been listening to "Awaiting On You All" a lot this week. It has become a sort of an anthem to me, as I myself try to 'open up my heart.'
Well, in any event, I'm off to go shack the shackles of laziness off. Happy Friday, ya'll.
