So yeah, prolific journalist, Hunter S. Thompson died today. The guy fucking shot himself in the head. Everyone awesome has to go out with a bang, no? I mean, he wasn't that old, but it's not like his life was empty and uneventful. At least people will remember him for what he's done. He coined the term "gonzo journalist." In other words, he was pretty punk as fuck when it came to writing. He has said things most people wouldn't have the balls to.
Well, for you uncultured folk (hahahha), he was a political pundit during the Humphries/Nixon run for the Presidency and the Watergate scandal. In his later years, he was a writer for ESPN. He basically shot from the hip and didn't bullshit around. Just do an internet search for him and you will see the kind of stuff he's written. If any of you have seen Where the Buffalo Roam or Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, you will know what I'm talking about. He's fucked up to begin with, but needless to say, still an awesome no-bullshit writer.

If the guilty won't hold up their hands and confess, he and the generals will ferret them out by force.
Good luck. He is in for a profoundly difficult job -- armed as he is with no credible military intelligence, no witnesses and only the ghost of Bin Laden to blame for the tragedy.
