This is a question to all you ladies out there... (and guys, if you feel it applies).
Did you start planning your dream wedding by the time you were 8 years old? Ok, even if not that young, before a time you were actually eligible to be married?

I was having this talk with Melissa about dream weddings and how if you really sit and think about it, it's a LOT of work, and MONEY. The money thing has come up again for me because I spent today with Ben at Mike Kittridge's house... and for those of you who don't know who he is, he owns 51% of the shares of Yankee Candle Company... after inheriting the family fortune of starting the place up. Anyway... lets just say the guy's got more money than I can imagine... as I could tell from the Lodge on his property... his winter lodge... about half a mile from the main house, (which has like, 4 formal dining areas for entertaining guests and it's own movie theatre and huge plasma tvs in every room)...and in the lodge, as you walk in, there are rows and rows of snow shoes, skis, hats... etc in every size for guests... downstairs is brand new clothing in every size for guests... blah blah blah. The guy's loaded. We're talking richer than Richard and Emily Gilmore.

Anyway... back to the wedding thing. I helped a little with my sister's wedding when she got married in 2000, and attended my brother's perfect wedding in 2002... and when it came to thinking about all the little things and contemplating how much I wanted this or that... I usually just pushed everything aside and said I'd figure it out when it came down to it. But then I talk to people... and a lot of people have this idea of what kind of wedding they want - Mel wants a DJ, even Adam knows what song will be played at his wedding - and I'm like... uhh... I want to wear a dress? I'd like to be married on a beach, but how realistic is that on any American coast? And it's really not all that integral to my dream. And since my brother's crazy formal wedding, I always told my mom that she could wear jeans. Other than that, I'm without a clue as to what I would want.

So this is posed to anyone who has any convictions of how they want their ideal wedding... what things would you incorporate, include, must have, or generally prefer with your day? Come on, give me at least 3 things you'd want going on.

(If you somehow forget that I'm talking to you... I'm tagging the following people to answer this question!)
