Lovely Leo is being taken away by my tech support people on Friday for some serious dismantling, after they finally agreed with what I've been saying all along, which is that the machine is screwed and can you send me a nice shiny new laptop please? It's so funny when they're instructing me to do all the checks and stuff I've been doing - everytime you try to do anything Leo just freezes, until we got to the point today where he froze as soon as I pressed the power button and at last they admitted defeat and agreed to cart him away.
On the plus side, the guys I've been speaking to about this have got progressively nicer and nicer as time has gone on. Today's guy (Carl) was so friendly and funny, and we were on the phone for ages of course, so that by the end I almost felt like I should be asking for his number. Would that be inappropriate do you think?
What really made me laugh today was that this has been going on so long now that the tech support company have actually changed their name and completely rebranded since I made my first call. Me and Carl had a big laugh about that.
Feeling surprisingly chirpy about the whole thing.
