So I've been whinging about this for a few days and figured maybe if I toss it up here I'll move on.
I don't understand people who want cheap tattoos. It's like saying "I'm blind now but I saved a lot on my Lasik surgery!" Okay, well maybe it's not that drastic but I see people here with 3D tattoos. Basically it's when your tattoo artist has dug too deep and whatever's been inked scars and rises up from your skin like braille. In the States I have sadly seen it mostly on blacks and I suspect it's because the artist figured if they dug deeper the tattoo would show up blacker... yeah, I know, the logic behind that doesn't make so much sense.
This was set off by a guy (American) who I took to my tattoo artist who was kind of rude to the intern (whom he thought was the actual artist) when he was haggling the price for his custom design tattoo. I wanted to melt into the floor and die of embarassment by association. It was as if the guy--a student--was on the streets of China arguing over the price of a souvenir piece.
And he HAS tattoos but he can get them cheaper from some guy he knows back home. Except the tattoo he has on his ribs is one of those braille tattoos!!
But apparently he doesn't really care about that..... *sigh*
