I've been absent. I've been busy.
So as an apology I will regale you with our latest psycho 小姐 story.
It's not a student. The student--whom I have only seen once--appears to be normal. It's her mom. And for the most part I'm uninvolved, I get to be a goose-necking by-stander this time. ^_^
A Taiwanese immigrated to Japan mom came to complain about the proficiency of our Japanese staff at Orientation. She was very free with her business card, which says she's a Chinese/Japanese court interpreter.
So after that was over and done with we figured (hoped) we were done with her. Her next stunt was when her daughter had a tummy ache and they went to the emergency room. The documents are brought and submitted for a refund from our accident insurance coverage. Yeah. If you're really quick you caught that, since when did tummy aches=accidents? So of course the insurance company did not refund her any money. Insert serveral angry phone calls and threats to involve local news reporters. (I say, bring it on!)
The insurance thing explodes into everything she's unhappy about and then she sends her daughter to fetch back the insurance application documents. Now, if you work in the legal system most of the time you would know that documents you submit as part of application and not returned to you. So no happiness for her there. Also when her daughter came by it was on a Friday after office hours so we were able to contact the insurance company where the documents are. Another point for her to piss all over.
My poor collegue: As the insurance office is closed we are just calling to let you know we'll have to wait until Monday to resolve this issue as we don't know what their policy is on returning documents.
Her: If you don't know anything, why are you calaling me?
MPC: But your daughter is here and she's asked us to call you to explain why she'll be coming home empty handed.
Her: They're MY documents! I want then returned!
And so on and so forth.
She called this morning--while I was handling the summer camp session 2 orientation--and threatened to have her mafia friend come over and beat up some of my collegues, basically anyone whose had any contact with her these past few months. So.... there maybe some more developments this afternoon.
Keep you posted?
