Author’s Notes: Written for Marvel_100. Crossover with Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Come on, we all know that if someone was smart enough to take SHRA to the court, it wouldn’t last 30 seconds. For those that have no idea what is that whole “Harvey Birdman” thing (le gasp!) I’ve put some small picture at the end. Other than that - watch it, it’s cracktacular.

Freedom, Justice and The American Way

Judy couldn’t be happier. Once again, The American Way had been saved and she had an honor of participating in it. What was even better, people than only a few hours ago had been ready to beat each other senseless, were now all gathered in Birdcage, drinking and chatting, and trying to forget what a bunch of idiots they had been. Well, all except for the villains, who had been mindswapped by Mentok with various kitchen appliances and were currently huddled in a corner, drooling mindlessly.

The only person that seemed to be standing out was Harvey.

“Birdman, why are you moping like that?” she asked, patting him on the back “We won! America won! Our ancestors gave their lives for…”

“That slut!”

“Come again?”

“Look at them… after all we’ve been through… how could he do this to me? He’s all over that guy!” the grunts quickly turned to sobs “Cheating bastard!”

She frowned and looked in the general direction Harvey was pointing at, trying to determine who was he talking about.

She doubted he meant Mentok. The judge was occupied with that big, green lawyer that had been representing the other side in the trial but while this could be considered a disloyalty, it definitely wasn’t something to sulk about. Table away, Reducto was chatting up a tiny woman that was sitting on his palm and Peanut was trying to lick the tonsils of a purple-clad girl.

And then she saw that: Avenger sitting on Falcon’s arm. The bird was stretching his long neck, rubbing his head all over the hero’s face, while Falcon ruffled his feathers, laughing. They both looked delighted, on contrary to Falcon’s own sidekick-bird Redwing, whose glares were the bird-equivalent of Harvey’s.

Judy sighed exasperatedly. “We’ve just saved Democracy and you are worried because Avenger is talking to some other hero?”

“Talking? Talking!?” he slurred “Just one more minute and he’s going to put his fingers in Avenger’s…”

“Condoms!” Birdgirl whipped her head to see Peter running between the tables with a wild look on his face ”I need condoms!” he shouted “Does anyone have a condom?”

Everyone pretty much ignored him until Peanut took pity, untangled himself from the anonymous girl and handed him one. Peter snatched it, run back to his table, grabbed Ms Marvel’s hand (Judy remembered her name, the woman had marvelous set of silicones) and dragged her in the direction of men’s room.

Rolling her eyes, Judy decided to join her father and his new friend, Nick Fury, that she knew were sitting in one of the booths at the end of the room. On the way, she nodded politely to King Namor though she doubted he’d noticed her. He was too busy closing the peace negotiations with both pro and anti-registration forces, by trying to make out with Iron Man and Captain America at the same time (undoubtedly, some old Atlantean custom).

Unfortunately for her sanity, she failed to register the grunts that were coming from Phil’s booth…
