So most of the excitement at our house lately has involved taking care of a newly-diabetic cat - about which there has been a lot of detail in akiko's journal, so I won't go back over it here. She seems to be doing well at the moment, thank goodness.

Meanwhile, miscellaneous stuff:

I am so, so lusting after this Macross Frontier Piano Book, but can't find it in stock anywhere other than Amazon Japan. Also this general Yoko Kanno piano book, though there's some overlap between them. I don't know of any good way to get them outside bothering someone who happens to be in Japan and then doubling the cost with extra shipping, though. None of the usual import suspects seem to have them.

Apparently TMBG are going to be in Asheville on March 9th. Asheville is kinda far, though, and I dunno how different it'll be from their Raleigh show late last year. They're also doing a Flood show in Richmond on the 11th.

Hmm, I guess I haven't posted here since we went to see Sherlock Holmes. It was pretty great. Go see it.

Cool link that's been going around of the indefinite time-period: Symphony of Science. Carl Sagan and friends modulated to music. Good stuff. Reminds me how awesome Space and The Future were when I was a kid. We need a new Carl to popularize this shit again.

I finished pretty much everything in Assassin's Creed II. Fun game. Delightfully ludicrous plot and engaging gameplay.

Currently reading the new Hitchhiker's book by Eoin Colfer (got form my parents for xmas, thanks!). Considering the shoes it's trying to fill, it's doing pretty well.

Random awesome old video: Patrick Stewart in "B or not B" on Sesame Street

I signed up for Google Wave. Not doing much with it at the moment.

I just made a peanut-butter pie out of tofu. Also a graham-cracker crust out of Annie's chocolate bunny crackers. Currently chilling in the fridge. Should be tasty.
