Christmas was lovely this year. We actually have a tree for the first time in years, and we cooked our own Christmas dinner. Dad and I were in charge and between us did the better part of the cooking. We had turkey (me), cornbread stuffing (me), rolls (Dad), yams (Dad), peas (Dad), mince pie (both of us), and cranberry-apple sauce (my aunt). ( Read more... )

Well, it's been too warm this past week to snow here, so no white Christmas today. Grandma's pretty much unresponsive, although she does open her eyes and move her hand a bit when we're there. It's really hard to say at this point how much longer she'll be with us - could be days, weeks, months. Most likely weeks, though. We've been there every day ( Read more... )
