I successfully drove on the freeway today, and on some big-ass hills in San Carlos. My nerves are a wee bit frayed. *twitch* I still have a tendency to drift right (and occasionally left), and I only nearly hit someone once (my first time merging onto the freeway). I parked, backed up, did major streets, and got a bit frazzled a couple of times. I need to learn how to relax behind the wheel, but how am I supposed to do that when nobody will practice with me? *huffs* At least I survived another lesson. I have my last one next Wednesday. x.x
Tom's visit was good. We talked about some stuff while we were hiking, or rather, I talked and he alternately evaded and answered. We also discussed the nearly three yards of lavender dupioni silk that I have and I'm thinking about making it into a cheongsam, either sleeveless or with short sleeves. I just need to find a good pattern. The fabric is 54" wide, which translates to about mid-calf once all the sewing and hemming is done. Another project for the list.
