16. Favorite Canon Pairing: Bogie & Bacall (Classic Films)
Okay this one was really hard for me because I love so many canon pairings. As I said in my last entry I am a total canon whore. I could have said Fakir/Ahiru who are my favorite pairing but I already mentioned them. I could have said many an FMA pairing but I don't want to make this meme all FMA. :)
But when I thought about it what is more canon than Bogie & Bacall? I don't usually care about real life Hollywood romances but this one is my favorite. Both in the movies & real life Bogie & Bacall were amazing. And when you hear Bacall talk about Bogie today you could tell how much she really was in love with him. It is so sad that they only had 12 years together but at least they had two children.
17. Favorite Battle Pairing: Roy & Riza (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Of course I had to name an FMA couple for this one. Could there be anyone else? They are like a perfect team. They understand each other just from a look & are always there when the other one needs them. It is an equally dependent relationship. Even when Roy is blind and Riza is injured this doesn't stop them from fighting together. In fact they are able to play up their individual strengths.
While there romance was never outright said in the series you don't need that to see how much these two love & care about each other. There is no need for them to say "I Love You" it is written in everything else they do & say.
18. Favorite “nakama”/group of friends: The Strawhat Pirates (One Piece)
I actually learned the word "Nakama" from One Piece so for me there could be no other answer. The strong friendship of these characters is the main reason why I love One Piece. Once you are a member of the Straw Hats, Luffy & crew will never give up on you even if you have given up on yourself. And I can't tell you how many times One Piece has made me cry over how much these characters love each other. Romantic love is one thing but friendship love that gets me every time. ♥
Honorable Mention: I was discussing with Rose_of_Pollux about Hogan's Heroes for this question. And yes that definitely can be an honorable mention (but so can a lot of series). I think the reason why One Piece is the one I chose is because while Hogan's Heroes is not ultimately about friendship, One Piece definitely is. You don't even have to dig deeper into the text to see it.
