13. Your First Pairing: Bulma & Vegeta (Dragonball Z)

Actually Mulder/Scully were my first pairing but I have them planned for another category. So Bulma/Vegeta were probably my first anime pairing. I remember my friend trying to get me into DBZ and at first I thought it was pretty dumb but then she showed me the Trunks saga and I was like what the villain is with Bulma and had a kid. I had never seen anything like that. My favorite scene in DBZ is still when Vegeta sacrifices himself for his family in the Buu saga. And although I don't read romance fanfic today I did read quite a bit of Bulma/Vegeta fanfic back in the day.

Would I be a fan of Bulma/Vegeta if I discovered them today? Well I am not really sure because the villain becomes a good guy is not exactly the most original thing. Then again there aren't many shounen series with the main characters (like Goku & Vegeta) having families.

14. Your Most Recent Pairing: Kou & Aoba (Cross Game)

I think Kou/Aoba is now one of my absolute favorite pairings. There is something so natural and real about it. Of course it is easy to tell these two cared about each other before they admitted it themselves. I also think the confession of their feelings was just perfect. It was subtle and adorable just the way I love it (with hand holding and lies). For me Kou/Aoba are the anime couple of 2009-2010 & Cross Game is the anime of 2009/2010 bar none.

15. Favorite Non-Canon Pairing: Thoma & Helga (Fantastic Children)

This was actually really difficult for me because most of what I like is very much canon. I am a total canon whore. But in the case of Fantastic Children I was not happy with where the canon went. I think Thoma/Helga would have been a much better couple than Helga & a certain reincarnated character. I almost think that ending took away from the theme that you are not your past lives. Granted who Helga ends up with is not the point of Fantastic Children and there is still very much to enjoy about the series, but this is just one of those times I was not enthusiastic about the canon couple.

On another note I had an impossible time finding a screencap of these two. The only good one was a major spoiler.
