The Vertere Police Force is Active.
The following details are included in your issued circulars and further elaborated - but will be listed here for interested applicants. If there are anymore questions, you may contact The Avatar of Enlightenment and The Avatar of Order, who will reach me when necessary. The placement test for all new applicants can be found here.
Requirements for New Applicants;
Age; No one below the age of 16, unless the applicant has the mental stability and maturity to handle the required duties. Ranking will not start until the applicant is above 18.
Vision; Good eyesight (Applicants must have normal color vision.)
Educational Requirements; Applicants must have completed basic education (reading, writing, comprehension skills), if not a much higher academic status. (College, University, etc.) A pass degree in any discipline is also favored. The Vertere Academy will provide the necessary continuing education for degree courses and so on, though this is optional.
Medical Status; Certified medically fit
Training;
Newly appointed officers are required to attend a 6-month Police Officer Basic Course at the Police Academy. It is a residential course aimed at equipping new officers with the skills, knowledge and values required for police work. Police Officer trainees will undergo training on physical fitness, basic footdrills, weaponry and police defensive tactics.
There will also be classroom lessons on subjects such as Criminal Procedure Code, Penal Code and Police Procedures. Trainees will be paid a full monthly salary during training.
Bond and Probation;
Upon completion of all necessary training and testing, the applicants will complete a bond of service to Vertere's Force for a required amount of time.
All newly appointed officers will be placed on a one-year probation period.
Posting System;
Upon completion of the Police Officers' Placement and Evaluation basic courses, officers will be posted to Land Division HQ / Neighborhood Police Center / Specialist Police Unit, depending on their suitability, aptitude and the vacancies available.
Shift work is to be expected.
Salary;
This will be paid according to grade and rank, and bonuses will be awarded to those who manage an efficient execution of orders.

Senior Police Officers are leaders in the Police Force as well as in the community. You must manage and direct highly trained officers to serve the society and combat crimes. There is a great deal of satisfaction and meaning being a dedicated professional law enforcement officer.
The job of a Senior Police Officer is demanding. It will stretch your limits. But the challenges of the job can unleash and develop your potential as a professional enforcer of the Law.
We require officers who possess knowledge, integrity and commitment. Our officers must be empowered and operationally-attuned to take actions. They must believe in the core values of serving Vertere with loyalty and integrity, and in discharging their duties with professionalism and courage.
Training;
Training equips officers with the knowledge and skills to perform their duties. Newly appointed Senior Police Officers are required to undergo basic residential training program at the Vertere Police Academy. Apart from classroom lessons, the training also consists of physical training like footdrill, police defensive tactics and weapon training etc. In the course of your service, other types of training will be provided. These include development, vocational, and specialist courses. All Senior Officers must also be prepared to mentor their subordinates when required.
Nature of Duty;
The Police Force is responsible for maintaining law and order, and protecting life and property. Our focus has also been on crime prevention and community policing. The idea is to bring our officers closer to the needs of the citizens of the City.
We aim to provide more professional and higher quality services whether it is investigating crimes, dealing with rule breakers, responding to disputes, answering queries from the public or even with regard to our internal management procedures.

The Police Force will also be required to go into field action whenever necessary and assign the required field troops for their respective sections and departments. The Avatars hold the right to override any action that is conflicting to their own line of duty and are in direct authority over the Police Force. However, they will not interfere in their work unless absolutely necessary and all concerns and appeals must be made to the proper departments to ensure the security of the civilians' needs.
Court Trials and Duties will also require the presence of the Force. They are the civilians' voice and as the Avatars cannot always be expected to keep an eye on intimate details that could aid the accused, the Police Force will be expected to make sure their intelligence and reports are up to date and thorough.

In other developments, a data thief was apprehended trespassing on the grounds of the Underworld, as reported by the Avatar of Imprisonment. We will be dealing with them accordingly and setting an example for those that would misuse the information of the city to cause it harm.
The security of Vertere's Citizens and Adam Kadmon's land is priority. The matter shall be severely dealt with.
