In my defense...
I did go out on Friday night. Met up for dinner with Mikey, Matt, Kevin, Mike, Chris and er... Mike... Hehe - yes, for those of you keeping score Mike is the new Brian in San Diego. We're up to our nipple rings in 'em. We got some grub and then a few of us went over to PECs. I went with mixed drinks (2nd time in two weeks) and ended up closing the bar again (beer makes me go home early, drinks make me stay late). I did meet a handsome guy from BOS and hope to see him before he heads outta town. So yeah, that was nice. Spent a lot of time talking with Scott about "A Catered Affair", the potentially Broadway-bound show playing at the Old Globe starring Harvey Firestein. I wasn't a big fan of it. A few good moments and a surprisingly good performance from Tom Wolpat (dukes o' hazzard) does not a good show make.
Saturday was really all about a lot of nothing. Watched "Mrs Henderson Presents" (good!) and the rest of Disc 3 of season 1 of Ugly Betty (enjoying it but I still really really dislike the Dad character and the actor playing him). Also caught up on some Tivo (Heroes was much better this week and loved the ep of How I Met Your Mother). It was nice to have a do nothing day. I just got a lot done around the house. I still need to clean the kitchen though.
Today was more of the same. Happy Feet on tv (ho-hum but cute at the end). Watching the Charger game and flipping to "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert" during the ads - how's that for straight acting? ha
I'm not sure why I'm so unmotivated. I think it's just that time of year for me. Or maybe I'm just saving it all up for next weekend. We're heading to LA for Popstarz on Friday night and then to Six Flags on Saturday. It's been a long while for both and I'm looking forward to it.
Let's see... Oh yeah, I was flipping through Spin and I came across this advertisement for St. Paulie Girl beer. What a return to 80s style angles... I mean, you are drinking the girl who looks like she had a wad shot on her head. hehehe
I think I need to turn off the Charger game though. Rivers just got sacked and I'm such a jinx I can totally see them blowing this huge lead they have.
Ah - And I'm off work tomorrow! Woo! I mean, I have to work at the bar but that'll be fine. 'Sides, cute BOS guy might come in.
