I may have luggage - but it was bought on sale

Had a nice weekend. Had to work on Saturday evening but liquid_wayno came to crash so he kept me company whilst I worked from home. After I was done with work we went out for a drink and ran into all kinds of locals as well as friends from out of town like Joe from DC and Andy from Phx (red_goatee). Andy and I have chatted for years and it was a real treat gettin' to meet him at last. Many drinks were had. Good times.

Today I slept in and then had breakfast with Wayne. He headed off to pal around with Joe and I met up with funbearsd for an afternoon of shopping at Fashion Valley. I was looking for a nice big suitcase for the Europe trip in November. I ended up getting a GREAT deal on a nice sized "carry-on" that's of course too big to carry on but that can be checked and should be perfect for the trip. It's a Wenger (they make Swiss Army knives) and it retails for 300 bucks. But it was on sale (55% off) and there was a special that gave me an additional 20% off so I walked out of JC Pennies with a sweet bag for 116 bucks. Not bad! I also picked up some faggy candles from a store in the mall because they smell like food (caramel, cookies, and cake batter). I'm not sure what that says about me other than that I'm willing to spend 40 bucks on candles and I don't even have a labia.

Went to the Hole tonight and had a mighty nice time. It wasn't super crowded but there were a lot of great guys there. Got to talk more with Joe about music and he clued me into Elliot Smith's Figure Eight - which I've since d/l'd and am listening to now. It's quite good. It's always nice to have Joe out from D.C. Looking forward to his next visit.  Jeff and I went to In-N-Out for my post-hole taditional Triple and fries.  Mmmmm, meat patties and cheese...

So now I'm gonna put Clue on in the bedroom and light my cookie scented candle and eat some ben and jerries. I honestly have no reason to not totally be in love with my life right now.

friends, life, weekends
