I'm willing to be corrected, but I believe the largest protest ever in the UK was over the Iraq war and had (it's claimed) 1 million people. London shut down. Multiple explosions on tube (probably one bomb, several substations overloading as a result, trains derailing) and three busses ripped apart. Fatalities and "terrible injuries". Fuck.
