Sunday, December 25th early morning
It was Christmas morning and Yuu treated it just like any other day. There was nothing special about the day anymore and there has not been for a very long time. He had no family to celebrate with and the only time he was given presents was when he "received" them from clueless people off the streets or whenever they just fell into his hands while he was in a store. The only joyous occasion about the whole month of December for Yuu was the heist he pulled off with the druggies, which allowed him to obtain a large sum of money. This has helped him out tremendously in the past week and a half. He still went out and made his money from time to time because he did not want to quickly exhaust his funds. The extra money just cut down how much work he had to do in one week and the main job he cut down vastly was dealing with the "customers" he interacted with at night. He was even in the midst of setting up an apartment deal with its manager where he would allow him to stay in one of the rooms for a small price every month. Some details still had to be sorted out and it was most likely that Yuu would not live there until the beginning of January. The only annoying part about it was that Yuu had a few customers that lived in the building as well and he was not too fond of the idea of being so close to them all the time. There was one lady customer who lived in the building though that he would not mind living close to because he had a very specific purpose for her and it would be so much easier for him if he lived near her.
Yuu was planning on visiting the apartment building later in the day because the manager was going to allow him to look around the room a bit, even though Yuu was going to stay there one way or another. Regardless, he wanted to see if there was any potential for the room for the future. He wanted to know where the best hiding spots for his money could be and if he could potentially hold any scams there, although he would most likely decide against that because he did not want people knowing where he lived. Even if he did not accomplish a whole lot by viewing the apartment, it was still something for him to do that day. Yuu was unmotivated to do much else. He tried convincing himself that it was because he was growng lazy from not having to go out and make money as much lately, but in reality he was emotionally draining himself from trying to shut off any painful feelings. He always had an easy time shutting himself off any other day, but Christmas and his birthday were always tough to get through, no matter how much he would never admit it to anyone, even himself.
Yuu was starting to get hungry and decided to venture out for some food. He left his makeshift home in the alley that he would hopefully never have to return to after january came along. It was less than a week until he would actually have a roof under his head once again.This made Yuu slightly smile at the thought and his face looked a little brighter than usual. Yuu had a chance at life and he was going to not let it slip away from him.
