Yuu was finally off the street. It was his big move in day, which meant it took him all of ten minutes to carry his few belongings and place them where he wanted. It wasn't much, and the neighborhood wasn't the greatest, but that was what he was most used to anyway. It was the same apartment complex that the lady who pretended to be his mother lived in, so it would work out great if anyone from school needed to visit his home for any reason. Well, except for students. He didn't foresee him making any close friends, and if he needed to work on a project he would suggest the other students' home or a public place. He didn't think that anyone needed to know where he lived, especially his school mates. He wanted to stay safe in his apartment, and he didn't want anyone to know how he lived. It wasn't as though he really cared what other people thought, but he didn't want to deal with any of the consequences of the wrong people finding out that he lived on his own. The lady down the hall may be a ruse to fool people, but he could not allow himself to solely rely on the charade. One thing that he learned throughout his experiences was that if he ever left anything to other people, then it would only end in disaster. Everything had to be planned just right or it would fail. He felt pretty proud of himself for getting this far on his own. The thought of what his parents would think almost crossed his mind, but before it was fully realized he pushed it back and kept it suppressed like any other time it has happened.
At that moment, Yuu was standing in the middle of the apartment looking around at what he has accomplished. He still needed to keep working to maintain the rent, but he was able to negotiate such a cheap price that it would be very simple for Yuu to do. He had to sleep with the land lord to receive such a meager price, but Yuu was not ashamed at some of the sacrifices he had to make in order to get what he wanted. The apartment itself had four separate room. There was a small kitchen that allowed enough space for one person took, a living room that could hold maybe a handful of people and a couple pieces of furniture, a bathroom with a somewhat working shower, and a bedroom that could possibly fit a mattress and a small dresser. Yuu didn't worry because he didn't have many possessions and didn't need them. He had his mattress all ready and few other belongings and was pretty much set. He did have some money left over from what he saved up for the initial month's rent, so he thought it would be a good time to buy a couple of accessories for his place. Maybe a few utensils for cooking or a small chair to sit on in the living room space. He decided to go and venture out into the stores and maybe pick up some things for a 100 percent discount while he was at it. He needed to sustain himself anyway, so now was a good time to get back into his usual line of work.
