07/07 6 224 173 177 Rail-Trail to downtown, to library, back to Rail-trail to Washington st., stopped at Hannafords for some stuff then home via Forestvale. Still hot but had to get the stuff so ... Better than I expected though.
07/08 6 230 167 176 Trying to get cycling before it gets too hot - difficult though , it’s too hot when I waken @ 5! Managed to pass a shift-gear bicycle on the upslope from South St to Washington. I’d been behind her - the same distance, since Forest Ave (it’s not called that - the other side of Main). I don’t know who was more shocked, her or me!M not feeling well, dangerously low bp. I drove to work & back - took the pressure monitor in with us.
7/09 2 232 165 175 M wanted to go into the office early. I needed some things (pineapple, bananas & bread) so I cycled to S&S and back. M drove to work and back, said it wasn’t pleasant but was do-able.
7/10 2 234 163 174 rain today, heard thunder when I woke, so I figured I wouldn’t go out. But when I checked the radar, there didn’t seem to be any real rain in the immediate vicinity and I had forgotten to pick up orange juice yesterday, so I ran over to S&S and back. Managed to stay on the bicycle BOTH ways over Digital Hill.
7/11 6 240 157 173 Was thinking to go to the hs library to water the plants, but it started to sprinkle when I got to South St so I headed up to Washington instead. Went into Hannafords for grapes then on to Forestvale & home. Managed Digital Hill again, but once again desperately needed to stop at the top and catch my breath. Perhaps I’ll head to the school later, if I’m at home and the weather cooperates, otherwise, I’ll make that a stop tomorrow when I go out to give blood and get groceries. (supposed to rain all day tomorrow.)btw, this marks the 60% mark of the journey.
7/11 8 248 149 173 M felt well enough to go in by himself and as the rain had moved off to the east, I decided to bike to the school and do some stuff in the library. Mr. Sacco was in there, working on Spanish curriculum in the coolth of a/c. I think that the summer camp in the school is using the computers for some reason - Deb’s computer was on at Synchronise and all the monitors were on. (I turned them all off before I left.)
7/12 10 258 139 172 Gave blood at Marlborough Hospital - from Fairbanks to there is 1 mi. Feeling all right, but thinking of making chicken snacks - feeling a mite peckish.
7/13 10 268 129 171 Rode the entire Rail-Trail, from Wilkins St (MA-62 E) in Hudson to Lincoln St. in Marlborough. Took pictures on the way, naturally ran out of space when I got to the underpass :-(. Mr. Staplefeld is one of the characters on the Hudson High side of the mural, but I had decided to start with the Marlborough side. Don’t know if any stored, though.
Home to Hudson start of Rail Trail (MA-62 E/ Wilkins St) 1.6 mi
Hudson start of Rail-Trail (MA-62 E/ Wilkins St) to Fairbanks 4.8 mi
