Ze Interview Meme

Ganked from lastrega:

If you want me to interview you--post a comment that simply says, "Interview me." I'll respond with questions for you to take back to your own journal and answer as a post. Of course, they'll be different for each person since this is an interview and not a general survey. At the bottom of your post, after answering the Interviewer's questions, you ask if anyone wants to be interviewed. So it becomes your turn-- in the comments, you ask them any questions you have for them to take back to their journals and answer. And so it becomes the circle.

Here are lastrega's questions for me, answered:

1. Do you feel as if your art is more a reflection how you see the world around you, or how you feel about what you see?

I think it's mostly the former. I tend to draw what I see, be it in my imagination or in real life, rather than draw my emotions about a certain subject. But that's an interesting avenue to explore! Drawing my feelings about something rather than just the object itself ... hmm.

2. Do you miss Highlander fandom?

What I like about the Highlander fandom most are the awesome people in it. And since they're on my friends list and I'm always updated on what's happening with them, technically I don't miss the Highlander fandom. ;) I wouldn't mind attending another convention, but they seem to be held in the United States lately, which means I'm fresh outta luck unless the US makes it easier for people to obtain a tourist visa in the future.

3. Tell me about how you came to love corsets?

It's all thanks to this particular piece of art I saw when I was a young teenager, painted by a talented Japanese artist called Sorayama Hajime. The linked picture is so not safe for work thanks to big boobies covered in clear plastic! What I love is the shape of her body. And the, uhm, wetsuit. And boots. And that ... gas mask. Wow. I think I just discovered for myself where all my major kinks came from!

4. What's the best thing about where you live?

The food. Definitely the food. :D From left to right: Sarawak laksa, red kolok noodles, fried bee hoon (vermicelli), black pepper crabs and oyster cake.
