8th Storm :: Sick
He found himself on a cliff, at the very edge. Looking down, you would see jagged and sharp rocks that waves would simply crash onto. Hiroto wasn't looking below him though. Instead, he was focused on the horizon.

An orb of bright light lit up the azure blue sky--that was gleaming like a crystal--and white clouds were pulled apart--stretched out like extra large cotton balls. An aroma of salty sea water wafted through the air, filling his nostrils with a smell that he was yet to be sick of.

The blue faded away. Pink automatically smeared over it and orange streaks were splattered across the sky, a canvas only to be painted over and over again. The orb of bright light began to dim, slowly but surely, and started to lower into the horizon--slowly but surely disappearing from sight.

As it disappeared from sight, yet another orb of light appeared. It was dimmer than the first, only shining 1/4 of the first orb's light. He knew that the moon was just a simple space rock that only reflected the sun's light, yet some people considered the moon itself as a star. Would such an orb be considered a star? It was more like a parasite. Or--maybe--it wasn't a parasite, Hiroto had thought. After all, this orb provided some light to guide the people under the sky.

And then there were the little dots littering the darkened sky. Several of them shot across the canvas, disappearing one after the other. Others stayed still and sparkled--sometimes caught in an image. He himself was awed as he merely gazed upwards--a smile lingering on his lips, at peace.

When I die, I want to be a star, he had mused to himself, but that would only remain a dream.

A single arm pulled him closer to a torso by his waist. Hiroto didn't need to turn his head. He knew who this person was...right? Even if he didn't know, his instincts told him that this was one person he could definitely trust--no matter what.

That person only smiled with the same amount of warmth as Hiroto and said, "This is our world--just ours. This is our sky that connects us together--no matter what happens."

"Kazumasa-kun..."

Hiroto fluttered his eyes opened.

"Shou..."

The blonde haired captain was nowhere in sight.

Crawling out of the sheets, he grabbed some clothing to cover his pale skin and slid into the bathroom. As he drew his bath, he heard the maid enter the room and squeal. Hiroto pushed aside any thoughts that she might have--dirty, nasty, perverted ideas and images (turning them into her own private porn collection). He stepped away from the bathtub for a moment, glancing at the door--which also happened to be a mirror.

His body was marked, and Hiroto knew that he was now officially a possession of the captain. He ran a hand over the unintentional bruises on his wrists--now a red/purple in color--as a wry smile tinted his lips.

He had slept with the captain.

His nightmares had turned into his dreams and his dreams came alive that night.

Suddenly, Hiroto felt his length twitch once all of the memories flooded back to his head. He bit his tongue to avoid a moan escaping his lips--especially since the maid was still there. He couldn't risk it (although she had a pretty good idea of what went on in there). He could just sprint out of the area--in a desperate search for Shou--just to relive last night. However, despite his need, lust, and desire for the captain, he stayed in the bathroom.

Pressing his ear against the door, he stayed silent--teeth still on his tongue just in case--and heard a click. Sliding the door open, just a tad, he stole a peek. The room was all cleaned up (although the bed was bare--sheets and blankets taken), and the maid was gone. With a relieved sigh, he grabbed a small towel and bit it before sliding the door shut.

He still had to be silent--somehow. Tora and Saga would never let him live it down if they found out that he had actually enjoyed it and loved it. Tora and Saga would never, ever let him live it down if they found out that he touched himself to relieve his erection.

He gasped as an image of Shou came to his head, rubbing his member gently and smoothly.

Why the bloody hell does this have to happen to me? Hiroto asked himself. Why am I in love with my captain? Why does he want me?
The questions flowed away with each suppressed moan.

By the time he was done, he was sure that the bathwater had gone cold.

[YUJI]
A loud groan left Yuji's lips as his partner pounded into him one last time. Their panting slowed down as they rested side by side, skin touching skin. Chiyu held him closely as Yuji laid his head on Chiyu's bare chest. He didn't want to work today either. All he wanted to do was be with Chiyu. He didn't want to see any sad faces today--especially at breakfast while the guests were eating. He didn't want to see any tears.

Shinpei was worried. Masato was worried. Takeru was worried. Hell, even Yuji and Chiyu were worried--despite not knowing their guests that well.

Well, they are going into the Treasury, Yuji mused to himself. It was only obvious why everyone was concerned. The Treasury was a lengendary place--some even said that it was cursed--and only a few have ever survived going there. Yuji praised them for having guts to even enter the place, and he would highly respect them if they made it out.

If.
Chiyu placed a soft kiss on his forehead, causing Yuji to look up.

Those brown eyes held the same thoughts as his.

"Come on, we have to go to work. Can you manage?" Chiyu questioned.

"Yeah, I've been doing fine up to this point, right?" Yuji retorted lightly--trying to lift up the mood. Chiyu returned his smug look before pecking his lips softly with as much warmth he could muster. After all, in a few minutes, they would have to act completely and entirely professional.

[SHOU]
Shinpei had called us out, informing us to meet up in the corridor once we were done getting ready for our journey into the Treasury. Once we had all gathered, I had noticed how Hiroto's cheeks were flushed red once he made eye contact with me. I pursed my lips, knowing that I had gone too far last time.

Was he mad? Was he embarrassed? He probably felt very violated since I had gone much too far than any of those molesters he had been avoiding. My gaze lingered on him for a moment longer as he twiddled with his thumbs and smiled lightly, warming up my heart--just a bit. (I was still worried, you know.) My eyes strayed to Shinpei, who wore a concerned and troubled expression.

The matter with Takeru had already been taken care of, so what did he have to worry about? Welll... Other than personal matters I have no idea about, that is. But, of course, it was not my place to ask him about his private life. I could only suspect that he was having some kind of love affair within the palace. (I mean, have you seen the dirty/sensual/loving looks Kazuki and Masato sent him?)

The brunet forced a smile as he led us to the dining hall for breakfast. This was probably one of the few times we'd be pampered; thus, we absolutely had to take advantage of it. (Although I did warn my crew not to get too carried away and forget about the hardships of the sea.) The king and his advisor joined us soon enough while the chefs stood by the doorway, observing how we would react to their breakfast.

Other than the sound of Nao, Saga, and Tora devouring the entire table and being wolves, there was a complete silence between all of us. The suspicion within my mind grew evident, and even Takeru picked it up. The blonde was brave enough to address it with an apology. "Even though you clearly stated your motive the other day... I'm worried for you, my friends," Takeru confessed. "I want to see you again."

Hiroto grinned and placed a hand on Takeru's shoulder, stirring up the envy in the pit of my stomach. "Don't worry, Takeru. Didn't I tell you before? I swear that we'll come back--definitely," he reassured the king. The two shared a smile that only two best friends could wear. Hiroto's eyes widened once he saw a tear roll down Takeru's cheek before quickly wiping it away. "What are you crying for?" Hiroto mumbled, cheeks glowing red and becoming flustered.

Takeru laughed--ever so bitter-sweetly. "It's just that you guys remind me so much of them!" Takeru exclaimed. "And... I never saw them again..."

"Them?"

Everyone stared at me. I couldn't help it. Curiosity. Also, now that I started, I couldn't stop there. I'd be a coward--spineless with no resolution what-so-ever. "It seems that you're always talking about them, and that you always treat us like them... But who are they?"

Takeru smiled gently, looking down at his half-eaten plate. "They are very important people to me--although Captain Byou would probably argue about their good deeds," he responded. The blonde grinned at the mention of the captain before saying that we shouldn't mind the brunet. When he was younger, he happened to have a bad experience with pirates. Originally, he was open minded, but now he only have one way of seeing pirates--lowly criminals, not even heroes or anti-heroes at all. "At any rate, we should probably see you off!"

Once the table was sparkling clean, Nao and Takeru led the way to the Treasury. With each step, each foot, anyone could feel the excitement radiating off of Hiroto's features. Even though Saga didn't admit it, he was pretty thrilled himself. Perhaps he thought that this adventure could really bring him closer to his goals. Tora was the same. When we'd get out, he'd probably been known as the strongest pirate of the crew that survived and looted the Treasury. Also, as Nao babbled on and on about the Treasury (with Takeru, no less), it was evident that the navigator was hyped.

Even I was excited. Well, perhaps excited wasn't completely the right word. Apprehensive, probably. Yes, apprehensive. I was feeling apprehensive. In fact, apprehension was bubbling in the pit of my stomach. There was a good chance that we'd make it out alive. Unfortunately, I couldn't look away and ignore the slim chance that we'd get the loot and actually leaving with it. Even worse, I couldn't suppress the chance that we'd get lost and lose ourselves within the Treasury.

As the captain, I was worried for my crew. Unlike some other pirates, lost in treasure and infamy, I cared about my men--and I especially cared for my lover. If something happened to them, I'd die--emotionally, mentally, and physically. All I could do now was to put faith in my crew and go forward recklessly. After bidding the palace crew goodbye, we set foot towards the Treasury with determined faces and souls.

After three hours of hiking and battling bugs, Nao claimed that we were only a few steps away from halfway-to-the-center of the Treasury. That was when we encountered our first challenge.

A whimper that Hiroto had been holding back forced itself from his lips. Saga immediately rushed over to the thief, seeing that his face was nearly green in color--causing a disturbance within my system. Placing a hand on Hiroto's forehead, the former doctor-in-training's face paled with every second. The chef retracted his hand and murmured, "You're burning as if you came back from Hell, Pon. Did you eat anything bad?"

Hiroto shook his head before pushing Saga away, turning around and doubling over. I froze. Last night...could my eye have possibly cursed him...? Perhaps the gods did not hear my prayer; after all, I was the enemy of the gods.

Tora spoke up, "He ate the same thing that everyone else did. Pon usually doesn't eat more or less than any of us. Does he have a cold? A fever?"

Saga sighed. "From what I remember, I don't think the symptoms really fall under any of them. Pon's not coughing or anything either..." Saga replied. "It almost as if he's been poisoned...but by who? After some observations, Byou isn't the type to do something as cowardly as poisoning someone."

That was the last straw. If someone poisoned Hiroto, I had to get back at them. Regrettably, that also meant giving up this expedition. For a while, I stared at the ground of dirt, twigs, leaves, and pebbles. Biting my bottom lip, I took my turn, "What do you feel about retreating? I need my men in top condition--"

"No way."

My head shot up as my sight fell on Hiroto, who was now being supported by Nao. He was glaring at me, trying to rip apart this fear I held. At the same time, he was slowly increasing his grasp on my heart--suffocating it. Another fear crossed my face, and it nearly caused me to jerk my head away from the younger. Luckily, Hiroto spoke in time, enough to persuade me to continue with this journey through the Treasury.

"If you need your men in top condition, I'm in my best right now. Even though something mysterious and unfortunate targeted me, I'll give my best in everything. This can't stop me, you, and everyone here," Hiroto insisted. This little one always cheers me up somehow, and a grin grew on my lips. I nodded--agreeing to his terms.

SNAP.

Someone was here with us.

"It seems that one of you has already fallen victim. It'll only get tougher from here on out."

A/N (from Jenni-chan): I updated! Tomorrow, I'm starting school, so, if you thought I suck at updating before, it's bound to get worse. :P
Plus, it's a new place, and I have this huge feeling in my gut that I'm going to get lost--somewhere, somehow. Hopefully, I'll make some new friends, but none of them shall be as awesome as Kimi-chan though! :D
