Adrenaline raced through both the teen's veins as their escape from the city was already put into play. Tension and anxiety kept their guard alive as an unknowing, and completely innocent child, slept soundly in the back seat. Delivering frequent glances, the frantic blonde nanny, and probably her only means of survival needed the constant reassurance that she was still there. Delicate hands attached to slender fingers shook uncontrollably with fear. A comforting grasp from the driver beside her, calmed her nerves. Without words having to be spoken his smile told her everything would work out. Muscles relaxing and tension starting to leave the breathe among her lungs returned to normal. Activating a call to a familiar Aunt Carol, where she was originally instructed to go by her father, she confirmed their arrival soon.

Once a nap started to take her without an argument it couldn't have been disturbed more quickly than with the sound of a police siren. Wishing it was only a dream, the shrieking alarm pierced her wishes and caused her sight to be directed behind them to be sure. Tossing options back and forth to either flee or stop, her pressured decisional nod given to Miguel caused the car to come to a stop. As the tension returned the girl, she reviewed her story over and over in her head.

" You were driving pretty fast back there. Let me see your license and registration. "

Swallowing seemed impossible as quivering hands frantically searched for the requested registration.

" This isn't under the same name. "

" Y-yeah. Well .. ya see this is my bosses car. I'm their live-in nanny and he gave us permission to drive it. "

Achieving the little time he needed to believe the story, hell it wasn't that far from the truth, he offered a warning.

" I'll let you off this time, but slow it down. "

As relief was far from their reach as they knew a silent " Thank You " was given to the sky as azure eyes lifted upward. Before continuing their escape from the city they were halted. Confusion filled both the teen's eyes as their sight meet and refocused at the alarmed officer behind. Wavering a free, trained hand in the vicinity of a nearby holster, something caught his eye. To dark to be water, and to liquidly to be gasoline. With a fast, and demanding order to invest the trunk, the unknown picture before him was surprisingly a mystery to the children as well. A squeak from a rusty trunk broke the silence as the innocent traffic warning developed into a murder scene. A jaw was dropped and stomach turned as the trained official started at a bloody, mangled corpse. Obviously beaten, slaughtered, and strangled the women's lifeless, cold eyes that started into nothingness, quickly changed the situation. An immediate reaction to retrieve a cocked gun, molded into the officer's hand.

" Get out of the car!! "

Respecting his wishes, the driver, Miguel did just as told. Questioning eyes lost all sense of life as they were locked on to the inanimate women, conveniently positioned in the trunk. Before a gasp was administered as a forceful thrust caused dirt to be the thing next his eyes would see.

" Both of you! Get down on the ground!! "

Rushing to see what the problem was, the young girl's legs only went limp at the sight of the familiar women.

" Carla!! "

The women's voice was the only coherent thing yelled from her frantic mouth. All else were unformulated words and noises mixed about with screams and cries. Becoming alarmed by the reactions of the people who said they'd keep her " safe ", Megan's small legs lifted her from the car.

" Megan! Get back in the car! "

Fearful of her seeing the sight of her dead mother, she scolded the harshest ever. Forced to the ground, the teenage girl didn't give much of a fight. Her muscles tightened yet failed to support her. Her breathe quickened yet she was unable to catch it. Her words wanted to scream for Carla, yet no noise came out. Her tears ran, at the thought of Megan being motherless now, and anger coursed her veins as she felt her revenge.
