A concerned nurse confronted a " frantic father ". Much unknown to her, he was the reason for his daughter being there. With a perfectly balanced act, and well thought out stories of her accident, he fumbled his words, and allowed incomprehensible sentences be questioned. What a perfect act.
" How is she doctor? She's going to be okay, right? "
" Mr. Matheson, the causes of Megan's concussion have yet to be determined. The hospital wants to keep her here for observation. "
Annoyance as well as a hint of panic was quickly covered up by a thankful smile towards the nurse. He'd rather of had his way and taken her away from anyone in that hospital that would suspect him of what he was blatantly guilty for. Once let alone with his injured daughter, there weren't any more options open, rather than for the desperate father to book to tickets to Mexico. Gathering assorted clothes and matching shoes just the size of her small feet his comforting voice and keen trustful sight could have fooled anyone.
" We're leaving now, Megan. Don't talk to anyone on the way out, okay? "
" What about Kim? "
" Kim? She's gone. She went home. Now come on. "
Doing just as told the small girl proceeded to slid from the hospital bed, and land a few inches down from the bed onto a cold titled hospital floor.
Leaving the ER was the choice she'd taken, but she hadn't given up the choice to save Megan. Her fear, and anxiety soon transformed into resolution. Determination for that little girl, and getting her to safety. Safety away from the bomb, and away from her father. With the help of a quick phone call, a well trusted boyfriend hadn't even given her the chance to explain the situation, within moments Miguel was there. Schemes and manipulative plans plotted themselves inside Kim's head while she waited. Soon, with a study boyfriend's help, an opportunity rose, and her plan could be put into action. Observing from a near corner of the hospital walls, eyes of firmness locked onto her victim, Gary, and awaiting for her clearing.
Rushing, and hurrying his daughter along, he coldly offered an apology. Without an ounce of remorse and unforgiving tone, the apology was for hurting her, and an oh-so-common promise, that it'll never happen again. As the address to her was complete a familiar nurse, whom had consulted Gary with his daughters condition earlier, interrupted his exit to answer a phone call requesting him regarding a past bill. Obvious irritation was quickly covered up with a smile and thankful nod. Strict instructions where given to Megan not to leave or talk to anyone during his absence. With fear of disobeying, her small head bobbed and resumed her seat upon the hospital bed. The short trip it took the panicked father to reach the nurses station was enough to for Kim to put her sly nanny abilities into action. Stealthily moves and almost gilding foot steps carried her into the little girl's room. At this point it is bluntly obvious who her partner in crime was. Their ambush was going perfect as planned, as Miguel pushed and prodded for a recent bill to be paid, Gary reluctantly reads his information off to the stranger on the other line. Aquiring what little time she has been given Kim persuades the frightened girl she is only trying to help her. Unsure of her choices, she does fear her " father " much more than Kim, and makes a quick, yet wise decision. A loving and warm smile drifts to the surface of the trusted nanny's face, a look that wasn't familiar to Megan through her father's eyes. Connecting a grasp of hands their prowl began and this time, there was no turning back.
With the stolen time all used up, Mr. Matheson annoying returns to his daughters room, to only find nothing. Panic and alarm light up the father's face, probably for the opposite reasons, yet who would suspect him of that anyway. Addressing a nurse, forcefully a demaning tone was released. When he didn't receive the answer he wanted, a yell was easily emancipated.
Agitation coursed itself through all 3 of the children's veins. The stomping and commotion that had occurred from their franitic escape down the deserted and dismal stairwell was the last thing they feared. A gentle pull halted Kim to a stop. Fearful eyes and tears of horror ran down the small girl's pale face.
" I can't leave. I promised Daddy I wouldn't. He's going to get mad and hurt me again. "
" That's why we have to leave. He's going to continue to hurt you if you don't leave with us right now. Right now you have to be very strong and trust me. Okay, Megan? "
The single nod she paused to give was enough of an answer.
Without any efforts in finding the lost girl a dreadful and almost paranoid look surfaced to the father's face as he demanded security.
The exit they'd hope to reach quite easily ceased to exist has their exits were soon barricaded by officials. Knowing that their cover had been blown and description was probably the first thing security would look for the three retreated into a secluded examination room. As plans and ideas came about one is the only one that seemed would work. A deep, and courageous breathe was taken in by the young male, in hopes those track lessons from school would now pay him off. Exiting the examination room, alone, a cool, slick look conformed to his face until a jolting yank of a flat screen computer monitor was acquired. Darting for the exit, surely enough security wasn't far behind following the " theft. " With their diversion in action their exit only sood yards away from them. Steadiness yet without wasting a moment the two girls quickly allow the endorphins of their escape take over and lead them to safety, momentarily anyway.
A few feet above all the commotion, disturbed eyes, and trepidation caused the father's sight to lurk to a near by hospital window. Slightly fogged and suffering a few scuffs, and scratches, the scene he saw was very clear. The scene he'd mostly feared was animated before his eyes as he saw his " employee " Kim, with his daughter. Infuriation distorted the fathers rational thinking as angered thoughts jetting him to the parking lot.
With the stolen object in the young boy's arms it was really the last thing on his mind, and what he wanted. Ditching the distracting center piece of a monitor, it now laid in on the side of a building, far from where he planned on being.
Fearful and pressured in waiting, ducking was needed behind cars in hopes to keep the two girl's cover unreveled. Carefully keeping themselves hidden, the adrenaline of such an act was the only thing that kept Kim going. With a sense of freedom and a last quick swerve around a parked car their trail ended quite quickly. A bloodless look overcame the pale girl's face as she tightened her grasp upon the small girl and forced her behind herself, as if she were only a shield.
" Where do you think your going with my daughter, Kim? "
" Away from you! "
" Hand her over. If you don't I'll have you throw in jail! "
" Never .. "
Apparently he'd had enough of her disagreements. A strong hold was quickly put into motion and a forceful yank was soon directed upon the girl's hair. Shock and panic to only get away from him clouded her judgment as his hold on her became tighter and more fierce. Violet thrashing of arms and fearful yells escaped the mouth of the assaulted nanny, as she saw a strike about to connect with her face. Trembling eyes slammed shut as she awaited the blow. The only impact that came about, was her body against the ground. He'd released his grasp upon her, yet beyond his control of course. The sight before her sent the best feeling throughout her body that she'd felt all day. Someone else finally saved her. Miguel. She quickly counted her blessings, not only about calling him earlier, but also that he'd came when he did. He was her savior in the moment and space, and she'd never forget. Readjusting her balance and quickly regaining her position to Megan, they both quickly observed in horror as the two men fought. Flinching with each hit and with the sense of sharing his pain, a grasp upon the small girl became tighter as her hope started to dim. Before any prayer was at a lost familiar karate skills must have triggered in the young man's mind. Resuming a stance and fighting position, it appeared it really was mind over matter. Although the several hits he'd received and beatings the older man had probably given him the need to destroy this bastard. Acquiring the balance and correct feel gravity was undefined as a jump was made and direct, vengeful slug connected between the young boy's foot and Gary's empty head. Yet, coldly disoriented, this bought them what little time it took to flee the scene and abduct Gary's own car.
