Today Lucy turns 5.  She was born at 7:11 am - I used to think she was lucky, but maybe it is us who are so lucky;  Lucky to share her journey through life.

Saturday, Lucy and I took to the outdoors during the blue hour and caught a couple of fireflies (we put them in her hair).  The highlight of this magical time, though,  was the "Bat Ballet".  After our release we moved into  the backyard - looking up at the sky and we watched as 5 different bats danced and twirled around each other, moving higher ( Read more... )

Tomorrow at 7:11 am my youngest turns 4. She was born on the last day of the year of the monkey. As you can probably guess, Lucy is a person who brings smiles easily to the faces of others. She delights in the world and in sharing her discoveries! Me, I delight in her.

The dance classes are wonderful.  Lucy and Taran are enjoying themselves so much as am I.  Next week is the last class of our session -- I believe Lucy plans to continue, but Taran may not (he would if it were a class where we could dance together -- he so enjoys learning the steps with me and I love dancing with him).  The Jazz class T and I take ( Read more... )

I guess we'll go celebrate the day with our good friends Tab, Max and Beth and their menagerie.  Ha -- they cannot possibly learn anything spending the day playing -- got them there.  Wait, Taran tells me that isn't true and Lucy keeps claiming she's having fun and learning!

Today we had our first dance classes (well, I had years of dance as a child, but these are the first for Taran and Lucy).  Both are Mommy and Me, so I got to dance along with them (which is uber cool).  Lucy got dressed at 8:30  for her class -- it starts at 4 pm.  She went through several changes -- I didn't even realize she had sooo many leotards ( Read more... )
