From all the good things that happened, discovering that you felt the same about our friendship must’ve been the best.
When you told me you wanted to tell me something.
Something serious. I got scared. Afraid to hear bad news.
But then you told me, that I was one of your best friends.
Needles to say. I felt so relieved that it was nothing bad.
I felt so happy. Because to me, you are the closest friend I have. And to know that’s it mutual made me even happier than ever.
To know that someone saw me,
That you saw me as one of your best friends.
From all the friends I’ve had. None of them seemed to care for me as much as I cared for them.
So knowing, that for once a friendship was totally mutual, it felt great.
I lean against the window, looking at how the snowflakes are covering the dark world. It’s already late in the night, and you are probably waiting for me to go to bed as well. But for now I enjoy just sitting here, watching the dark world outside.
A pair of well build arms wrapped around me, making me turn my head slightly. As expected you were standing there, hugging me close.
“Ne Kai, what were you doing?” You ask soft as you let your head rest on top of my shoulder.
“Thinking”
“About what??”
“Us” I reply smiling and you smile back at me in return,
“Let’s go to bed” You mutter as you tug me up. Your hand grasping mine and leading me away from the cold window into our bedroom.
When we both are settled under the warm covers, I shift closer to you as you wrap your arms around me once again. Laying in silence together, I’m listening to the soft sound of our matching heartbeats.
One of my life goals was finding my soul mate.
And maybe…
