It was Christmas eve. The time that everyone would spend with its beloved one. Everyone except for me.
I was hugging a pillow close to me,
pretending it was someone.
Pretending it was you.
Wanting it to be you, but it wasn’t.
It was just a lifeless pillow.
Snow started falling from the dark sky. It became a white Christmas after all.
All the other years, I would’ve been happy.
A white Christmas, was like, one of the most romantic times to spend with your love.
But now I was alone. Now you where not here.
And I felt colder than I’ve ever felt before.
I wonder where you are now.
I wonder where you disappeared to.
You haven’t been home since our break started.
“Uru..where are you?” I mutter between choked sobs.
Where are you?
Why are you not here?
Why are you not coming home?
Why did you leave me?
Where did you go to?
Four years ago
Four years ago we got together.
So why did you disappeared so suddenly?
Why did you left me alone with all my worries about you?
A soft sigh leaves my lips, and with the tears still streaming over my cheeks, I finally manage to fall into a restless slumber.
My mind still filled with thoughts of you.

The morning of Christmas came.
The sun lighting the snow covered world.
I was still covered under a pile of blankets, my arms still clutching that pillow.
A feather light touch caressing my cheek, slowly trailing its way over my closed eyes, moving to my hair, stroking my head in a soothing manner.
Woken up by the touch, my eyes flutter open. I am very much surprised to see Uruha laying on the bed next to my. His arms propped up, keeping his head up while he was watching me.
“Uru??” I ask surprised, my voice still raspy from the combination of crying and sleep.
A small smile forms on his face and he leans down to place a gentle kiss on my lips.
“Uru..why..where..w-what” I tried to speak, but my sentence made no sense at all as tears began to form in my eyes gain.
“shh” He whispered, moving to wrap his arms around me.
“I had some things to do, but I’m here now” He muttered, and it was then that I noticed the Christmas decoration in our bedroom. Now when did that got here?? But before I could ask him any question that popped in my mind, he suddenly blindfolded me.
“U-Uruha?!” I asked surprised. But again he answered my questions with a “shh”. I grumbled slightly under my breath but soon it was replaced by a surprised yelp as Uruha suddenly lifted me from the bed. He arms automatically wrapped around his neck, afraid to fall. He placed a gentle kiss on top of my head and then carried me in bridal style out of our bedroom.
He set me down on what I suppose was the couch in our living room.
“Uru??” I asked again, wanting to know what and why. I could hear him moving around, doing what ever he was doing. Finally I felt him sit down behind me. His arms wrapping around me on an instance. It was then that music started to play, Uruha’s hands moved away. His hands moving to the back of my head, untying the blindfold.
“Merry Christmas Kai” He whispered when he took away the blindfold, his arms returning around me. My jaw dropped in surprise of the scene in front of me.
The whole room was, just as our bedroom, covered in Christmas decoration. And in the corner of the room stood a large Christmas tree, shining with thousand little lights. He’d even thought of making a fire in the fireplace. Needles to say, it looked like a room you would see in one of those Christmas movies.
“Uru..” I stuttered, attempting to turn around to face him, but his arms around me kept me from doing so.
“I’m sorry I didn’t came home earlier, I had some stuff to finish” He muttered and placed a gentle kiss on my bare shoulder.
Then he pulled away and moved to his feet again.
“Come on, it’s Christmas, let’s open our presents.” He said smiling and lead me to the Christmas tree.
I noticed that he’d put the presents I bought under it to. Now how had he found those?? I made a mental note to find a new hiding place.
“First open this” He said and handed me a large present, it looked heavy too.
I careful took the present, and indeed it was very heavy. On the top laid a small note.

A small smile played on my lips, and I wondered what the present was. I rapidly opened it. It was a large box, and I couldn’t help but gape at what was in it.
All the paperwork that was still left for me to do, all done already. I wanted to do it this vacation, but I couldn’t find the anywhere, and when Uruha didn’t came home after 2 days, it totally slipped my mind.
“Uru..” I couldn’t say much more. All that paperwork, even with four persons, it takes days to finish it all. I crawled on my knees to where Uruha was sitting and gave him a tight hug.
“Merry Christmas” I muttered and gave him a gentle kiss on his lips. He smiled and returned the kiss.
The rest of the morning we spend unpacking our presents. Well, not really morning, seen as I woke up pretty late.
We where sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace, wrapped up in each others arms, slowly sipping from the hot chocolate I made.
“Ne Uruha” I started as I eyed the world outside. It was already dark, and snow kept falling down. The whiteness of the snow reflecting all the lights of the city, making the sky glow in a soft orange light. It looked beautiful. Lost in my train of thoughts I forgot to finish my sentence.
“hmm??” Uruha asked as I kept silent.
“Let’s go outside”

The streets where empty, everyone was safe inside their house, spending Christmas with their friends, family and beloved ones.
Uruha and I where walking, with our hands grasped together and fingers entwined, towards the nearest park.
I already forgave Uruha for being away the whole first week of our break. Seen as, the reason he was gone was preparing all these Christmas things for me. Yeah, things where okay now and I couldn’t be happier.
We sat down on a bench near the puddle. It looked all so peaceful. And this time I didn’t feel cold or lonely.
“Ne Uru” whispered, my head laying on top of his shoulder and his arms wrapped around me.
“hmm??”
“I love you” He looked down at me and smiled. A cold hand moved to my cheek, gently lifting my face to the same height as his. His lips claimed mine in a passionate kiss, I sighed contently into the kiss. After a while he pulled away, we where both panting softly and our cheeks flushed a bright shade of red.
“I love you too”
