In the Blessed and Cold
another day that feels like fall! it's fantastic :D
must remind myself of the crazy heat of this summer when things get icy here...
in that vein, had our furnace inspected/tuned up/etc. so that's a goodly thing that is done! still need to buy oil...but i think i will wait another month...financial juggling, always fun
did some figure modeling this week, which is always fun in the actual sense! been getting that gig more frequently this year, which makes me happy on multiple levels :) and might get it even a bit more, as they are thinking of starting up another group that does just one long hour and half pose, instead of 5-5-10-15-20 they do in the original group...one person made a comment about my getting too skinny [haha] to be a good model, but i think it was a joke, and if not, does not seem to be the consensus.
and the host of this group is coming to our halloween/etc/etc gathering, so that's also exciting
mark keeps getting this scam-esque call regarding the irs suing us...but whenever i try to reach the irs, i am on hold for ~15 mins and the machine hangs up on me =\ have played this game 3 times now. very grumpy making.
still slooooowly recovering from bug bites from ctt. really wish my skin healed faster, but am glad it's on healing at all, which it was not for a few years.
tomorrow i am attending a Thing wherein Michelle Obama speaks. I am super happy about this, as I adore her with a fiery passion. thanks to Tori for heads up in time for me to get in an RSVP.
hm, pretty sure the above is mostly a long form gladgame, but...for form's sake
i am grateful for the local farmers i can buy directly from for the best, freshest produce, the lovely art prints and [very few] original art pieces we have framed on our walls, my rice cooker, which while not fancy, gets the job done and i do not have to watch it/stir it/worry about it! also delicious dhal from packages: affordable, easy, and super yum [i began this journal entry this morning, and then got busy and di not finish until now, as i finish dinner ;)]!
