new place
So... last saturday I went and had a look at a place that was up for rent in my suburb. Nice little 3 bedroom place with bottle trees out the front, fully fenced yard, nice little garden areas and a gated verandah. It was up for $350 a week which is about as cheap as it gets around here. I applied for it on Tuesday afternoon with all my pets on the application and with it just in my name as MC's job situation doesnt help atm. Friday I got the call to say I was accepted! I move in next Saturday the 12th. This week i need to organise removalists, internet and phone and power. I have already got the week after the move approved as leave so that's really helpful. I really hope we stay in this place awhile. I really hope MC gets his work sorted soon coz I can't buy anything atm let alone save money. Really looking forward to having my own place again just need to know the bills will be ok.
Still waiting for the assesor from the insurance company to come look at the damaged stuff in the garage and hopefully pay us out some money. I hope they be fair, anything extra atm would really help. I have a feeling they won't give much though. Sucks that most of my books (not any of my gaiman or comics thankfully!) and my years worth of bird magazines are wrecked. Some of my new furniture and stuff is damaged as well which is really disheartening.
