On Nobodies
O hay KHFFR. I'd like to talk to you today about something that has really been bugging me.
It seems that since KH2 came out, or even since last year, people have kind of forgotten that Organization XIII is made up of amoral, heartless jerkwads. The most recent evidence I've seen of this that has been bugging the hell out of me is a DA stamp that said "Xehanort was framed."
Er, no. No he wasn't. Xemnas clearly states in-game that he doesn't give a flying hell about the rest of the world and that he wants HIS Kingdom Hearts finished and that HE was the one who chucked Ansem the Wise into the darkness. Ain't no framing at ALL going on here.
But that's only one part of this rant. See, I'm one of those nutjobs over at worldrefugees2 who spends all her free time pretending to be someone from Earth fighting against Xemnas. We at WR pride ourselves on characterization (makes up for the rampant self-insertion, I guess), and I'll be the first to say that the people playing the members of Organization XIII (I don't count because Xaldin died and Axel isn't in the Organization anymore) do a fabulous job - Saix scares the everloving SHIT out of me, Xemnas is appropriately creepy and tl;dr, Xigbar is sufficiently "sup dudes, now u die" etc.
But bragging about RP isn't my point here. The point is, IF YOUR XEMNAS IS A NICE, HAPPY, LOVING DUDE WHO WANTS TO UNF UNF WITH SAIX AND GIVE HIS SUBORDINATES CANDY AND CAKE, YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. LIKEWISE, THEY ARE NOT ORGANIZATION HAPPYFUNTIME WITH NO HEARTS.
My next point is this - BEING A NOBODY IS NOT FUN. IT IS NOT A HAPPY THING. If your Mary Sue is going "yay I don't have a heart now!" there is something very wrong with your fic. First of all, Nobodies don't have the sufficient emotion to go "yay!" with. Justifiably, Demyx could go "yay!" but if he did, it'd be him pretending.
So, to summarize:
1. Organization XIII is not interested in being your friends.
2. Xemnas is not a misunderstood nice man who just wants a heart
3. Xigbar is not a nice person who wants to play Brawl with you
4. Saix is not a happy puppy
5. losing your heart = BAD and your OCs should be properly "this is not okay" about it
6. You should join WR because it's awesome and win
