Now it's theerio time...

I'm having a flu, and in flu one always gets these wonderful ideas and theories. I have a new, nice theory on Organization XIII, Nobodies, Hearts and feelings. Apologies for the incoherency and any grammar/spelling mistakes my spellcheck didn't catch.

This is our test subject, Generic Human Nobody Dummy #23.

When a Heartless is created, the heart gets contained in the Heartless and when the Heartless gets defeated, the heart either flies away or gets thrown into Kingdom Hearts.

Normally, it roams free for X time (until the Heartless gets beaten, anyway) and then it returns to its owner (like the shopkeeper in Traverse Town). But in abnormal conditions, it's eaten by Kingdom Hearts, and then it can't return so easily, because if it somehow get out of KH, the Heartless pops out again and the Heart bounces back into it (or alternatively, bounces back to KH once the Heartless gets beaten.

Sometimes, also a Nobody is created along with a Heartless. Nobodies have no or little feelings (we'll get to that in juust a minute), but they're intelligent creatures. They also don't have any hearts (because their heart is bobbing along the beautiful briny Darkness, Kingdom Hearts or just somewhere.

And here comes the theory:

The Nobodies have instincts and memories of feelings. They often know how they're supposed to react in different situations, but they have this nagging feeling/they sense that "their heart isn't in it" (pardon me). But! Seeing other strong emotions in other people makes them sort of resonate. But again, since hearts are required for friends and thusly friendship, love and suchlike, that pretty much won't prompt anything - those emotions are contained in the heart like tuna in an unopenable tin. Instead, they resonate to feelings that are directly linked to their survival instincts and such. And those are emotions they like to see, because usually they make them feel like they felt something. Fear, especially the mortal kind, frustration, anger, possibly happiness for one's own survival and achievements, power (kind of like... Makes them feel they were in control). I don't think they'd feel jealousy, because that also kinda requires two. The are able to make others feel the feelings the victim understands or is able to feel.

Survival instinct says: Larxene = dangerous! OMG! ur gonna die!
Want to live says: But I dun wanna die!
Heart: Resonates accordingly, in this case regardless of any nearby Kingdom Hearts

Here it gets interesting. Some members have seemed more feeling than others, nicer than others. My theory is that this is because of the resonating thing. If your heart isn't among people, it can't resonate to heart-needing emotions. If the heart is trapped in Kingdom Hearts, the Nobody are essentially like psychopaths - they have feelings for only themselves, screw others/worlds, I'm the centre of the universe. Because they can't resonate to friendliness and empathy and sympathy and love and what have you, because their hearts are eaten by KH. And their nagging feeling of not feeling is huge. They resonate strongly to those feelings for the same reason.

Famous extreme cases of this include at least Larxene. And possibly Marluxia for power, and Vexen for happiness about one's own achievements or something like that.

Now, on the other hand, if the heart isn't trapped in Kingdom Hearts, the situation is different. Their Nag of No Feelings is smaller and thus they're more laid-back. (They also probably vanish in a swirl of while light as opposed to vanishing into darkness, at least if their heart is free and not contained in anything.) They resonate less - the reason being, their free heart also resonates, and they have no need to resonate as much, because their feeling of nag is smaller. They still have very little to no empathy and suchlike, but they're, like, less ferocious and more laissez-faire. Less mean. They don't have such a compelling need to get their hearts back. And since their heart actually resonates to all kinds of feelings, they can 'get' all kinds of feelings and lessen the Nag.

And finally, the Special Case:

Yes, Roxas. He's actually an extreme case of Free, Roaming, Resonating Heart - his heart/Other is Sora, the kid of Light and Happiness and Friendship and Power of Friendship, and he's like alive. So, Roxas makes other Nobodies resonate as well. Or at least one other Nobody. Axel feels around Roxas like he had a heart because Roxas is essentially a feel-good receiver-transmitter. Roxas is, I think, a bit like Case 1 (e.g. Larxene) in reverse in that he makes others get positive resonation.

Edit. Oops woops, got one teensy tiny freaking huge detail all wrong. I blame the flu and the Pink Elephants of Flu. Thanks to lynxgriffin for pointing this out. :D
