Relationship stuff

So I was listening to this Christian broadcast about marriage the other day [because preposterous, absurd reasons]. There's this concept I've heard before about 'cleaving and leaving', leaving the old life/attachments, to 'cut' [cleave] new ones. One of the things they cited was 'it takes 9-14 years for a couple to start thinking of themselves as 'we' instead of as 'I''. Which they didn't cite a source for. So, could be iffy, but it's interesting none-the-less.

Also, about love is not self-sustaining. That's a myth 'youth' (apparently only youth can have 'young love' eyes; ?NRE¿) believe but causes resentment in a relationship when both people buy into that, and then it doesn't happen. Because you need to put effort into maintaining the love.

There was something else too, but it has fled my mind.
