I was talking to M (q.v. the unicorn) about this earlier, so I wanted to write it down.
There are only about 4 situations in life, where it is "normal" to ask a question, while having an expectation of receiving a certain answer.
A. When a cop pulls you over and starts asking questions like "Are there drugs in the car?"
B. When the bully in third grade asked you if you wanted another punch in the arm.
C. When a reporter is digging for dirt. "Did you sleep with that woman, President Clinton?"
D. When a partner in a relationship seeks reassurance or affirmation.
Thus, 'interviews'.
