past 'Bang art posts

I'm preparing for big bang season yet again and thought I'd list all my past 'bang artwork and some mini thoughts about them.

2008

artwork for 'Walls' - (SPN) this was my first (and still one of my favorites) BigBang art posts that I've ever done. I adore Jared's 'artwork' the mural and sketches and just everything about this one.

artwork for 'The Taming of the You-Know-Who' - (SPN) looking back I find so many flaws in this it's kinda sad...and I hate the face I chose for chubby Sam. *sighs* But I like everything about the OCs.

2009

artwork for 'Going to California' - (SPN) I really loved doing this artwork too, I LOVE my version of college!Sam so much and I still use a few of the icons that I made for this and I really like a couple of the wallpapers as well.

artwork for 'The Perfect Kind of Happily Ever After' - (SPN) I wasn't originally suppose to do artwork for this story, but I woke up to a 'Please help me!' email from a friend and decided that I couple spare a few hours and help her out. I finished EVERYTHING within 4 hours and I really kinda like everything about it just about...I'm not really a great manip person (at least I don't think I am) but I had to do pregnant!Danneel manips and I actually think they turned out kinda great. Plus the babies are adorable.

artwork for 'Bad News Never Had Good Timing' - (SPN) this one really irritated me because the author never ever finished the fic...and then never even comment on any of the artwork that I posted. It really kinda pissed me off because you know how I just said I wasn't a manip person? Well almost everything that I did had some kind of a manip going on in it. *sighs* I like the over all finished result, but there's definitely things that I would/could do differently now

2010

artwork for 'Nightmares Don't Always Come at Night' - (SPN) My first crossover bang. I originally started out with one idea and then I changed my mind and I LOVE the outcome of my second idea. The second idea lead to the CW Thursday night mock ad, which I sorta love more than some actual CW promo ads.

artwork for 'Celebrity Skin' - (SPN) I got so much shit from the 'anonymous' meme thing for this one, but I really love everything about it and so did Engel aka the author so that's all that really matters in my opinion.

artwork for 'Write Your Name All Over My Paper Heart' - (SPN) I was so lucky when I picked this prompt because it was part of one of my favorite J2 High School AU 'verses and it was so much fun to actually do artwork for it. I really love some of the wallpapers and icons.

artwork for 'Big Fluffy Rainbows' - (SPN) This was another collaboration with Engel and before we even started anything we decided that it didn't matter what anyone thought, we were just gonna have fun and that's what we did. The results were kinda fun and definitely unique I think.

artwork for 'And Who By Fire' - (SPN) First time I ever tried the 'reverse' bigbang, where I make the graphics first and leave a story prompt and then an author picks the prompt and writes a story. There's wasn't really a whole lot of collaborating with this one, but it is what it is.

artwork for 'You and Everything I Wanted' - (SPN) Another reverse bang post, except I LOVED everything about this one, especially working with the author. My original prompt inspired such a great fic that I went back and reworked my initial idea and I seriously LOVE the end results.

2011

artwork for 'Come on the Rising Wind' - (SPN/SOA) Another crossover bang, this time Supernatural & Sons of Anarchy therefore I loved every single thing about it. Plus the author is totally kickass and writes my favorite SPN/SoA 'verse.  ;)

artwork for 'The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot' - (SPN) I tried some new things with this one, including a website, and really just had a lot of fun with it all.

2012

artwork for 'Even a Man Who is Pure in Heart' - (SPN) I wasn't sure about doing BB again this year because of real life things, but I'm really glad that I did, because I ended up really enjoying this artwork.. I used a bit more layers and whatnot compared to what I normally would do and I really liked it.

2013

artwork for 'Until the End Starts' - (TW) My first Teen Wolf Reverse Bang and I LOVED the entire experience. :) The big bang was also the one that I started posting the main artwork to AO3 and the extras to LJ so there's two different links to view all the pretties.  AO3 | LJ

artwork for 'Get Out Alive' - (TW/Leverage) My first Teen Wolf Crossover Bang! It was so much fun! I loved the idea behind the story and it was so much fun to play with the idea. The main image was also posted on AO3 and the extras to LJ. AO3 | LJ

graphics, bigbang: artwork, \o/ me!, lj-land, holy crap y'all!!
