I like 4E multi-classing, so far. I'm playing a Bard, and the feat-granted Cleric daily power gives me a huge edge as the party's sole healer. Eventually, I'd like to see my character have a smattering of Bard and Cleric (and a touch of Warlock thanks to the Half-Elf Dilettante power) powers all over the board. Added customization with no real loss of power overall. I'm a fan.

But you do lose power overall. You're giving up feats to get little powers that aren't as good (at-wills as encounters, etc), and if you want to go full multi-class at level 11 and take levels of Cleric, you're giving up the upper level bard powers (you don't qualify for the level 11 bard powers if you're a 10 bard/1 cleric, for example

I loved 2nd Edition because it was the first one I played. It took me awhile to adjust to 3rd Edition because I really hate change. From everything I've heard about 4th Edition, it sucks. I'll just continue to play non-D&D games or go back to 3rd Edition.
Everything I heard about 3E said it sucked when it first came out. After about six months of playing, though, it grew on me. Fourth Edition is the same - it's a fairly significant change so everyone is going to say it sucks, including me at first, but it grew on me and I enjoy it.
