Today we had a full day and no commitments and a Belfast Metro Area bus/rail pass. Aside from sleeping in an extra half-hour, we had nothing to do today, so we set out to cover at least the rest of the area our train pass happened. Thanks to a couple of friendly NI Railways train managers, we got more than our money's worth out our passes.

We worked out that we need to catch a 6:45 AM bus pm Tuesday morning from Europa Bus Terminal (across the street from our hotel) to be at Dublin Airport for 8:45 for our 11:45 AM flight to Reykjavik. We've won our bid for a Saga class upgrade for this flight, which means we'll have access to an airport lounge, and thus we should be able to get ( Read more... )

This morning after breakfast, Lisa and I walked to the Hilton, which turned out to be closer than we realized (about 1200 m), and there we met up with Feòrag Nicbhrìde. Based on my research in the travel guide, I figured out that there was a type of travel card (iLink Zone 1-4 one day, £17.50 each) that would give us unlimited rail and bus travel ( Read more... )

This morning, we packed out of the Holiday Inn Express. I won't miss it, I'm afraid. I let us sleep in too long, so when I got back from breakfast I found we were running a bit short on time.
