So here we are at the "ceremonial" start of summer (Memorial Day), and this morning I checked the Pah Rah Mountains to the west to see if they'd managed to hold snow until today.
There wasn't a lot (you'll probably have to zoom to see it), but there still is just a tiny bit of snow on the mountains.
We know from a trip to Reno that there is a whole lot more snow on the Sierra Nevada mountains, which are farther west and higher. I take it that some ski resorts are still open or at least were this weekend, although the thunderstorms that have been running through the area this weekend probably put a damper on the fun.
