Monday, I spent about 7 hours rearranging furniture in my living room, only to realize that nothing worked right, so I put it all back the way it had been before I started moving stuff around. I read somewhere recently (was it in The Spell of the Sensuous?) that a shaman's role is to act as mediator between the people and the land.
